Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Ashford, Kent
Pay Rate: £110 – £120 per day
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time (Flexible)

Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor to work in a welcoming Secondary School in Ashford. This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school staff looking to gain further classroom experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain on task and follow the school’s behaviour policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise whole classes across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans and manage classroom behaviour

  • Ensure a safe, positive, and productive learning environment

  • Support students with their work where appropriate

  • Follow school policies and procedures at all times

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (preferred)

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Confidence, flexibility, and a professional approach

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
