Job Title: Cover Supervisor (Ad Hoc & Flexible Work – Primary & Secondary)
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Start Date: Immediate & Ongoing
Contract Type: Flexible/Ad Hoc
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday – Term Time Only

Looking to gain classroom experience without committing to a full-time role?

We’re recruiting Cover Supervisors for primary and secondary schools across Stoke-on-Trent to support with day-to-day and short-term absences. Whether you’re a graduate, experienced Cover Supervisor, or someone with transferable experience working with young people – this could be the ideal role for you.


The Role:

  • Supervising and delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher

  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive, productive learning environment

  • Supporting pupils with tasks, maintaining classroom routines and ensuring safeguarding policies are followed

  • Working across a variety of subjects or year groups, depending on the school and age phase


Who We’re Looking For:

  • Confident and reliable individuals with strong communication skills

  • Previous school-based experience or experience working with children or young people in other settings

  • Good classroom management and the ability to engage learners of all ages

  • Comfortable working flexibly across EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
