Cover Supervisor – January 2026 Start

Full-Time | Secondary | Suitable for Graduates & Unqualified Teachers

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a supportive secondary school who are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team from January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience and take the next step in their education career.
This would be suitable for graduates and unqualified teachers who are eager to develop their skills and build experience working with secondary-aged students.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and supported throughout their learning.


The Role:

  • Deliver pre-prepared work to classes in a range of subjects
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Ensure lessons run smoothly and students stay on task
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff about engagement and progress

What We’re Looking For:

  • Graduates, aspiring teachers, or unqualified teachers looking to build classroom experience
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Confidence working with young people aged 11–16
  • A proactive, reliable, and adaptable approach
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
