Cover Supervisor – Alton – January 2026 Start

Full-Time | Secondary | Suitable for Graduates & Unqualified Teachers

Are you a graduate or aspiring teacher looking to start a rewarding career in education? Teaching Personnel are supporting a friendly and well-organised secondary school in Alton, who are seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor to join their team from January 2026.

This role is ideal for graduates and unqualified teachers seeking valuable classroom experience and an opportunity to gain insight into a secondary school environment. You will supervise classes across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring students remain focused, engaged, and on task while delivering pre-prepared work.


The Role:

  • Supervise classes following pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects
  • Maintain positive behaviour and ensure students are engaged
  • Support learners of all abilities and report on classroom progress
  • Ensure smooth running of lessons during staff absence
  • Uphold school policies regarding behaviour, safeguarding, and learning

What We’re Looking For:

  • Graduates or unqualified teachers looking to gain practical classroom experience
  • Confident communication and classroom management skills
  • Reliable, adaptable, and proactive approach
  • Ability to build rapport with secondary-aged students
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
