Make a Real Difference – Core Subjects Teachers Wanted in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire

At TP Tutors, we are committed to improving educational outcomes for learners who need it most. We specialise in delivering personalised one-to-one and small group tuition for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

As demand continues to grow in Hucknall and the surrounding areas, we are looking for passionate and adaptable teachers of core subjects — English, Maths, and Science — to join our team and deliver high-impact, tailored tuition.


About the Role

This is a meaningful opportunity to teach outside the traditional classroom, supporting students who benefit from flexible, individualised learning.

You will provide tuition in learners’ homes or local educational settings, focusing on building their confidence, engagement, and academic progress through structured and supportive sessions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, personalised tuition in English, Maths, or Science (one-to-one or in small groups)

  • Adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles, needs, and abilities

  • Break down subject content to ensure clarity and accessibility

  • Provide constructive written feedback following each session

  • Travel to learner locations across Hucknall and nearby areas

  • Adhere to all safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures


What We’re Looking For

  • Strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, or Science (ideally up to Key Stage 4)

  • Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH students

  • Confident in planning and delivering tailored, engaging lessons

  • Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability

  • Up-to-date safeguarding training

  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
