Construction Teacher

We are currently recruiting for a Construction Teacher to work within our small pupil referral unit in Fareham. You will be working with a small group of pupils who have been excluded from mainstream school or have social, emotional and mental health needs. You will be teaching Construction with a focus on Carpentry up to GCSE/ BTEC level.

We are looking for teachers who are passionate about adapting education to meet all young peoples needs and goals. 

The role involves:

• Working alongside the staff within the school to provide a tailored education to your pupils
• Maintain Health and Safety during practical lessons
• Working with the Teaching Assistants in your class to provide the best support possible to pupils
• Communicating with multi disclinary teams to tailor your approach to the pupils needs
• Thinking outside the box to help pupils achieve and improve academically as well as socially

We are looking for:

• A committed class teacher confident in teaching Construction to secondary pupils
• A resilient personality who can cope with set backs with pupils
• A strong communicator
• A fun and bubbly teacher 

You will be rewarded with seeing your pupils achieve things you never thought possible, we will support you in your journey as a teacher to improve your skills and develop and a teacher, via CPD and support from an experienced SLT. 

Pay in line with skills and experience. This role is a full time permanent vacancy to start in September.
