Computing Teacher
Manchester

Salary to reflect MPS/UPS (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490)

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint an exceptional teacher of Computing to join our popular and forward thinking client secondary school located in South Manchester. The successful teacher will be required on a full time basis from January 2020 and will be required until the end of the academic year. The successful teacher will be given the opportunity to earn a permanent contract following this initial placement. This post will give the successful candidate outstanding experience , working alongside high performing and enthusiastic colleagues.

The successful Computing teacher will join our client schools Technology department on a full time basis and will be responsible for delivering KS3, GCSE Computing and GCSE ICT (BTEC L1/L2). Our client school also delivers GCSE Computer Science and OCR Creative iMedia and therefore, experience in delivering both is desirable. The successful Computing teacher will join a high performing and enthusiastic department and will focus of delivering outstanding outcomes for all students. We are looking for a passionate teacher of Computing who has a track record of high quality teaching and learning and will help our client school achieve the best possible progress and attainment in Computing and ICT.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience in delivering engaging KS3 and GCSE Computing lessons (Additional subjects are desirable but are not essential)
  • Have the initiative, energy and enthusiasm to inspire students of all learning levels
  • Be available on a full time basis from January 2020 – July 2020

Our client school is a popular secondary school located in the heart of South Manchester. The school has become the local secondary provider of choice and now has over 800 pupils on roll. In recent Ofsted reports, the school has consistently been judged to be a ‘Good’ school with ‘Outstanding’ features for teaching and pastoral support. Staff at our client school are hard working and welcoming and therefore, we are looking for a Computing teacher who is committed to ensuring the best teaching and learning possible. The school is located just a short drive from the city centre and is easily accessible via bus routes and Metrolinks from the city centre and surrounding areas. For those who drive, the school has a large staff car park available for all staff members.
