Join an average sized secondary school in Bury, known for its recent climb in performance tables and state-of-the-art facilities.

  • Full-time Computing Teacher.
  • Required for a September 2021 start – Permanent contract offered for the right candidate.
  • Teaching a full timetable up to GCSE level.
  • Full planning and marking responsibilities.
  • Paid to teaching scale point - GBP25,714 - GBP41,604.

This position has arisen due to a staffing gap and will incorporate teaching Computing across both KS3 and KS4. The successful Computer Science teacher will join an established team of specialists and will have access to their own technology suite and classroom. Situated in the Bury area, our partner secondary school can easily be reached via several public transport options and via the M66/A56 from areas such as Bolton, Ramsbottom and Rochdale.

It is essential that the incoming Computing Teacher has experience teaching Computer Science across both KS3 and KS4 and is able to deliver lessons that stretch and challenge learners of all ability levels. Experience of teaching other aspects of the IT curriculum is desirable but not essential for those applying for this role. The school will consider applications from experienced and newly qualified teachers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
