Computer Science Teacher required for a Large Secondary School in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

  • Ofsted graded ‘Good’ School in 2016
  • Earn between £18,525 and £36,278 per annum!
  • Excellent on site facilities, with access to a wider range of amenities in the community

A large Secondary School in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, are seeking a Computer Science Teacher for a full time role starting in September 2017. The position will include full responsibilities such as planning, preparation and marking; and has the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

This role would be ideal for a recent Graduate in Computer Science looking to complete their Teacher Training whilst working. It would be equally ideal for a Newly Qualified Teacher / NQT looking to complete their induction year, or an experienced Fully Qualified Teacher’s / FQT.

The School has around 1,000 pupils on role and has a key focus on developing the learning and development of all, not only students in the school but also of the people in the community. They are keen to develop lifelong learning and encourage this for all. The school has modern facilities, consisting of their own state of the art computer suites, drama studios, theatres, AstroTurf area and music rooms.

As the ideal Teacher, you will:

- Specialise in Computer Science

- Be able to deliver to Key Stage 3 and 4, up to and including GCSE

- Be able to maintain classroom behaviour management

- Have a strong belief in pushing students to realise their full potential

- Be able to build a strong rapport with students and colleagues

- Be able to plan and prepare in line with the UK Computer Science curriculum
