Computer Science Teacher

Our School is a very successful one, with a reputation for excellence. The School is a heavily oversubscribed mixed 11-18 Secondary, that remains genuinely comprehensive in terms of its intake. We have a commitment to raising standards through quality teaching and learning, investing heavily in our Staff and resources.

Our School Governors seek to appoint a dynamic and innovative Computer Science specialist Teacher to work within the STEM faculty. The position sits within the ICT department more specifically and will work along other ICT teachers and a supportive Head of Department/Faculty. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Computing at KS3 & 4, at GCSE the delivery of both programming and theory is required. Knowledge of Python is essential, as this is studied at both KS3 & 4. Experience or desire in teaching KS5 would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite of the role.

The successful Candidate will have the opportunity to teach across a dynamic and vibrant Student body, with Students that are keen to learn and engage. Staff are equally expected to be enthusiastic, positive and passionate in their teaching and their attitudes towards their Subject area. The Department enjoys strong leadership and state-of-the-art facilities, and you will be supporting its journey to 'Outstanding' having recently been graded 'Good' by Ofsted.
