Comprehensive Cover Supervisor

Are you a Cover Supervisor looking for an opportunity within the Swansea area? Then Teaching Personnel want to hear from you. We are actively looking to find an individual with experience, confidence and has a can-do attitude which will be invaluable in a classroom environment. You will be responsible for overseeing 20-30 young adults at one time and keeping them motivated within Education.

What will the role involve?

  • Deliver pre planned lesson plans, in a structured manner, across multiple subjects.
  • Supporting pupils as they undertake work in line with the national curriculum priorities.
  • Undertake additional duties, such as administrative tasks, break and lunch duties, as and when required.
  • Maintaining classroom discipline in line with the school discipline policy
  • Building rapport between yourself and pupils.
  • Promoting the school ethos and adhering to all school policies and procedures.
  • Follow behaviour management and safeguarding policies effectively.
  • Working closely with all school colleagues and under direction of the school leadership team.
  • Feedback on student progress and behaviour throughout the day to colleagues, and parents, if requested.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a valid driving licence with access to own vehicle (Essential).
  • An excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Have experience of working in a Secondary School setting.
  • Have strong classroom management skills.
  • Be registered (or willing to register) with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
  • Be a passionate practitioner with the desire to improve the education outcomes for all pupils.
  • Have excellent organisational skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Be able to support and promote the ethos of the school.

Due to the nature of this role and enhanced DBS check will take place prior to employment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
