Complex Needs Teacher – RCT
Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT)
Pay: £166 per day
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

Are you a dedicated and compassionate teacher with a passion for supporting children with complex needs? Teaching Personnel is looking for a Complex Needs Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in RCT, working with students aged 3-19 who have autism, profound learning difficulties, and other additional needs.
This school provides an inclusive and supportive environment where students can thrive. The role requires tailored lesson planning, behavioural support, and collaboration with SEN staff to ensure each student reaches their full potential. Full training and support provided.
Your Role:
✅ Plan and deliver tailored lessons for students with complex learning needs.
✅ Support communication and sensory processing through PECS, Makaton, and visual aids.
✅ Work closely with SEN staff, therapists, and external specialists.
✅ Create a safe, structured, and engaging classroom.
✅ Provide personal care support where necessary.
✅ Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience with SEN or additional learning needs (ALN) students.
Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
Patience, resilience, and adaptability.
Experience with PECS, Makaton, Team Teach, or manual handling (desirable).
