£100 - 120 per day

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Are you a qualified teacher looking for day to day supply work in the Tameside area?

Are you interested in teaching in a college as a general cover teacher?

A college in the Tameside area is looking for general cover teachers who are able to cover a variety of lessons across the courses which they offer. This position would suit a qualified secondary school or Further Education teacher who is looking for flexible daily cover. The college is an integral part of the community based in the area of Tameside. If you are also open to teaching and covering lessons within secondary schools, please highlight this on your application as there are a number of secondary schools that Teaching Personnel work representing more work opportunities.

  • Fully flexible daily teaching cover available at a College
  • Located in the heart of Tameside: Ashton-under-Lyne
  • Flexible daily pay ranging between GBP100 - GBP120 per day
  • No planning and marking responsibilities as part of the daily, shorter-term supply cover role
  • Opportunities to cover lessons in college and secondary school

This role would suit a fully qualified teacher who has perhaps retired or is looking for more flexible temporary work or even a teacher who is looking for their next permanent position but in the meantime would like day to day work. A number of our shorter term roles often lead to longer term placements, where we can make the introduction between you and the relevant school.

The benefit of working within this further educational setting is that you will be teaching and engaging with students aged 16 – 18 years old. The level of discussion and work is highly engaging when teaching this age group. To be successful in this role, you should be enthusiastic in your approach and be positive when working with young adults.

This large college is co-educational and has a multitude of vocational courses as well as A-levels and BTEC students enrolled. The successful teacher will therefore have the opportunity to teach and cover across many courses and subjects, further widening their own knowledge and skillset.

Within the secondary schools, there are a number that we work closely with presenting opportunities to cover lessons in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Stalybridge, Dukinfield, Hyde and Denton.

If you are interested in this position, please apply now with your latest up-to-date CV for a call back within 24 hours.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
