Classroom SEN Support

In Bolton we work with a secondary SEN school who are looking for classroom assistants to support the students with any specific needs whilst in the classroom.
The school caters for children who have a range of conditions such as Downs syndrome, autism, aspergers and other learning disabilities, as well as physical and mobility disabilities. Due to this the school itself is modified to meet their needs as well as the curriculum which is created to offer a more sensory and inclusive experience.

As a classroom support assistant, you will work with small groups of students or on a 1:1 basis, helping students with their work and behaviour in the classroom, and seeing to any of their personal care needs if necessary.

The role is incredibly rewarding as you are able to build relationships with the students and have a direct impact on their progression to become more independent. The best type of candidate for this role is someone who is caring and who loves to work with young people.

Any relevant training is preferred but not essential as we also hire based on attitude towards the role.
