Job description

We are currently recruiting for full-time Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the CF24 area of Cardiff, and the best part?

You do NOT need classroom experience to apply!

If you’ve worked with children in any capacity, your skills are highly valuable here.


About the Role:
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You’ll be working closely with the class teacher to support pupils both academically and socially, helping them build confidence, stay engaged, and enjoy learning.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting with lessons across a range of subjects
  • Helping to manage behaviour and keep pupils engaged
  • Supporting children with additional learning needs where required
  • Encouraging positive social interaction and confidence
  • Assisting with day-to-day classroom organisation and activities

Who would this role suit?
We are looking for individuals who are passionate, proactive, and great with children, regardless of whether your experience comes from a school setting or not.

This role is PERFECT for people with backgrounds in:

  • Sports coaching or team leadership
  • Youth work or community groups
  • Babysitting or caring for children
  • Nursery or childcare settings
  • Psychology or education students/graduates
  • University students looking for full-time experience
  • Anyone with hands-on experience supporting or working with children

Essential Requirements:

  • Prefferebly be a driver 
  • A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach
  • Confidence working with children and building relationships
  • A genuine interest in supporting young people’s development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
