About the Role:

Location – Cardiff

Pay - £89.38 per day

Hours – Full time (8:30 – 3:30)

Start Date – 2nd June 2025

Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit a reliable and proactive Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in the centre of Cardiff. The position will be full-time, working alongside a year 2 class. The ideal candidate will be confident working with children of varied needs and abilities and general classroom support will be required. There may also be instances where the teaching assistant will lead interventions involving small groups of children, to assist with learning that follows the school’s curriculum. There may be occasions where 1:1 support throughout the day is needed, the ideal candidate will be flexible and confident working with children with additional learning needs, with the ability to adapt to meet the child's individual needs. 

Main Duties:

• Providing general classroom support for the teacher and supporting all class children.
• Working on a 1:1 basis and supporting individual needs of the children.
• Being confident completing intervention work on an individual basis or within small groups.
• Ability to build professional relationships with children, staff, and parents in the school.

About the School:

The school is based in the centre of Cardiff and is a two form entry. The school are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team who will bring a positive attitude to the class. You will receive continuous support and feedback, and the school will always be open to hearing new ideas and feedback. The ideal candidate will need to be enthusiastic and reliable, whilst wanting to provide a positive and safe learning environment for the children.
