This specialist campus supports young people with SEN and ASD, providing a nurturing and structured learning environment designed to help every learner thrive.The site is known for its warm, inclusive ethos, personalised support, and commitment to helping students develop both academically and emotionally. Staff work collaboratively and uphold a culture of respect, patience and high expectations.

The campus offers opportunities to work within both primary and secondary classes, ensuring a varied and rewarding role for the right candidate.

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and proactive SEN Educator to join the team on a full-time basis. You will be supporting students aged 16 to 18 with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence and develop life skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with SEN and ASD

  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities

  • Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

  • Help create a calm, safe and encouraging classroom environment

  • Support students in developing independence and communication skills

  • Work closely with staff, therapists and pastoral teams to meet individual needs


Essential Experience

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A minimum of 6 months childcare experience, ideally within an SEN setting

  • Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs

  • A calm, patient and empathetic approach

  • A genuine passion for helping vulnerable learners succeed

Safeguarding & Recruitment

All applicants will undergo a full safeguarding process. This includes an enhanced DBS check, reference checks and, where needed, overseas police checks. The role involves working closely with vulnerable young people and requires professionalism, reliability and a commitment to safeguarding.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
