Teaching Assistant

A welcoming and forward-thinking mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Maths & English Focus) to join their team as soon as possible.

The Role:

• Supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a particular emphasis on Maths and English.

• Working closely with subject teachers to deliver targeted interventions and in-class support.

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to students who require additional guidance.

• Assisting with planning and preparation of learning materials.

• Encouraging engagement, confidence and progress within core subjects.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working with secondary-aged students (school-based experience is desirable).

• Possess strong literacy and numeracy skills.

• Be confident supporting Maths and English at KS3 and KS4 level.

• Demonstrate patience, adaptability and a proactive approach.

• Be committed to raising attainment and supporting students of varying abilities.
