Teaching Assistant – Secondary School | Bournemouth
Part Time – Mondays & Tuesdays | Immediate Start | Ongoing Role
Are you a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant with a strong understanding of Autism and SEMH needs?
We are delighted to be supporting a friendly and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth in their search for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis, working Mondays and Tuesdays each week with an immediate start available.
This ongoing role has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience running or supporting a resource base and possess excellent knowledge of supporting students with Autism and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will play a key role in helping students access learning, build confidence and thrive within the school environment.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working within a secondary school setting
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Autism and SEMH
- Ideally have experience managing or supporting a resource base
- Be calm, patient and adaptable in their approach
- Build positive relationships with students, staff and parents
- Be committed to supporting students both academically and emotionally

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
