Start Date: March
A welcoming and forward-thinking mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their support team from March.
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young people both academically and pastorally.
Key Responsibilities:

Supporting students in the classroom, either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
-
Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
-
Helping students to remain engaged, focused, and motivated in their learning
-
Providing tailored support to students with additional needs where required
-
Promoting positive behaviour and supporting the school’s values and ethos
The Ideal Candidate Will:
-
Have experience working with secondary-aged students (school-based experience preferred)
-
Be patient, proactive, and adaptable
-
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Be able to work effectively as part of a team
-
Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
