Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in accessing the curriculum, both in class and through targeted intervention activities

  • Assist teaching staff with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and resource development

  • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence

  • Provide one-to-one or small-group support based on individual learning needs

  • Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to safeguarding procedures at all times

  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies to promote student progress and wellbeing

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting

  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learning

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for helping students achieve their full potential

  • Willingness to undertake relevant training and contribute to wider school life

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within education, whether you are an experienced Teaching Assistant or aspiring to build your skills in a supportive school environment. A January start means you can begin the new year making a real impact in a vibrant Bournemouth school.
