Job Vacancy: Primary School Teacher – Vale of Glamorgan

Location: Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales
Contract: Full-time / Permanent (Term-Time Only)
Salary: MPS/UPS – Dependent on experience
Start Date: September 2025

A welcoming and high-achieving primary school in the Vale of Glamorgan is seeking an enthusiastic, committed, and inspirational Primary School Teacher to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils.

We are looking for someone who will inspire young learners, deliver high-quality teaching, and contribute positively to the school community.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Welsh Curriculum

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress

  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with ALN

  • Contribute to whole-school activities, events, and extra-curricular programmes

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil development


✅ Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Proven experience teaching within a primary school setting (EYFS, KS1, or KS2)

  • Strong knowledge of the Welsh Curriculum

  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage pupils

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children


Desirable:

  • Experience in leading a curriculum area or subject specialism

  • Welsh language skills (advantageous but not essential)

  • Experience supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
