Job description

Are you a Teaching Assistant looking for work in the Chorley area?

If so, Teaching Personnel work closely with a Chorley based secondary school which provides support and education for pupils with SEMH difficulties, PMLD, Autism and ADHD. Some of the pupils in School display challenging behaviours and therefore strong classroom and behaviour management skills are required.

The role is likely to start in February and continue for the rest of the academic year. The role will require you to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils who display challenging behaviours and pupils who have special educational needs. The pupils are KS3/4 although many of the pupils are learning at a slightly lower level.

The candidate must be hard working, have experience supporting pupils with SEN, be confident when working with pupils who display challenging behaviours and be looking for a long term, full time role.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
