Science teacher (Chemistry Specialism)

  • Full time Science teaching role for 1 term
  • Daily pay rates of up to £187 (depending on experience)
  • Large Secondary School close to central Leeds

A large, modern Secondary School, within easy access of Leeds city centre are seeking to appoint a qualified teacher of Science for 1 term to start in as soon as possible in September 2016.

The role would be full time and involves teaching general Science at KS3 and Chemistry at KS4. A specialist in Chemistry is preferred but not essential if you have the relevant experience of teaching the Chemistry GCSE syllabus.

The school is located close to Leeds city centre and is therefore easy to reach from the train station, close to regular bus routes and just a 15 minute drive from the M621.

The Science department are well equipped and offer an array of resources and equipment to enable you to teach engaging interactive lessons and ensure enthusiasm for your subject.

You must have a passion for your subject, the ability to raise attainment and manage behaviour effectively. The school are happy to consider both NQTs and experienced teachers.

The role is for one term initially but there is a possibility of a permanent role from January if you were interested in a longer term role at the school. Whilst working through Teaching Personnel you will have access to a range of CPD opportunities, as well as weekly pay (with daily rates of up to £187 depending on experience) and your own personal consultant.
