Chemistry Teacher in Washington

Job Type: Flexible Supply – Full-time, Temporary
Salary: £168.80 – £261.78 per day (MPS/UPS)
Start Date: September 2025

Are you a qualified Chemistry teacher seeking flexible work across secondary schools in the Washington area?

Teaching Personnel are recruiting an enthusiastic and adaptable Chemistry teacher to support our partner school in Washington. This is a valuable opportunity to experience a range of school settings—ideal for both experienced educators and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to build confidence and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver well-structured Chemistry lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils
  • Provide continuity of learning in the absence of regular teaching staff
  • Adapt quickly to different school contexts and student needs

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
  • Confident delivering Chemistry across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
