Chemistry teacher required in Richmond to start in September

A large secondary school located in Richmond are recruiting for an innovative, enthusiastic and passionate Chemistry teacher to join their science department. The position will be full time and the successful candidate will be required to teach chemistry to Key 3 and 4. The schools science department is dynamic, creative and supportive whose main focus is inspiring and helping students achieve their maximum potential

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to plan creative and engaging lessons for KS3 and KS4 students
  • Have experience within a similar role
  • NQT welcome

Brief description of the role:

  • Evaluate and grade students class work, laboratory performance, assignments and papers
  • Ensure that all records of attendance, grades and other recorded are maintained and updates
  • Prepare classroom material such as assignments, homework, classwork and experiments
  • Establish excellent working relationships with groups and individuals to encourage pupils to get actively involved in their own learning
  • Daily rates from £120-£180
