A client school in the north of Nottingham are seeking to employ an experienced teacher of science to work full time after Feb half term.
The desired teacher must be able to teach general science to KS4, focusing on Chemistry up to KS5 and have a desire to plan work and teach children of all abilities.

A recent OFSTED report highlighted 'The academy is a warm and welcoming place. With the support of the Chief Executive Officer for the trust, they have developed an academy that knows its pupils well. As a result, staff feel valued, pupils are increasingly confident and teaching is good.'
As a teacher within this role, you will be required to teach general science across KS3/4 and some Chemistry to A-level, as well as plan lessons and mark work so recent experience doing this is essential. The school have asked that the desired teacher is passionate about teaching and has strong behaviour management skills. The ability to connect and plan work relative to individual students is key.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Science Teacher with recent experience teaching in a UK secondary school
- Starting after February half term
- Teaching KS3 and KS4 (KS5 timetable for Chemistry is required)
- Chemistry as a subject specialist
- Full classroom responsibilities planning delivering & marking work of students
- Providing 1:1 and small grup tuition to students in need of additional support
- Willingness to participate in the school’s extra-curricular programme
- Competitive rates of pay (through PAYE)
The Essentials:
- Must be available for full time work from February 2021
- Must have QTS or completed PGCE – both experienced teachers and NQTs of Science are welcome to apply
- Must have suitable school-based references that cover employement from the last 6 years
- Must have or be willing to apply for an ehanced child only DBS registered to the update service
