Teaching Personnel is proud to partner with a highly respected independent school in the Northampton area in their search for a talented and passionate Teacher of Science (Chemistry) to join their dynamic team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic educator to join a supportive and forward-thinking department. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering an engaging and challenging Chemistry curriculum, inspiring students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum in Chemistry.

  • Inspire and encourage students to reach their full academic potential.

  • Monitor, assess, and support student progress to ensure at least good outcomes for all.

  • Create a purposeful and inclusive learning environment in line with the school's behaviour expectations.

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that are responsive to the needs of learners.

  • Promote academic excellence, character education, and a love for STEAM subjects.

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, sharing best practice and contributing to the wider school community.

  • Communicate regularly and effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

  • Use assessment data to inform planning and intervention, ensuring all students make progress.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Specialism in Chemistry with experience teaching at secondary level.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young scientists.

  • A commitment to raising achievement and supporting student development.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • A team player with a proactive and positive approach.

The successful candidate will be expected to share in the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
