Job description

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a secondary school and sixth form in Chichester seeking a Teacher of Chemistry to join their department from January 2026. The school, rated GOOD with an OUTSTANDING Sixth Form by Ofsted, provides a vibrant and inclusive environment for students aged 11 to 18. With modern science facilities and a dedicated STEM building, the successful candidate will teach Chemistry across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to deliver KS5 for the right applicant. This is a full-time, permanent role within a supportive and ambitious department, offering excellent CPD and career progression. Whether you are an ECT or an experienced Chemistry specialist, this is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and further your career in a high-achieving school.

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a passion for Chemistry and working with young people.
  • Demonstrate effective classroom management and resilience when faced with challenging behaviour.
  • Have strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Be a collaborative team player, committed to working in partnership with colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, showing strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Be a reflective practitioner, committed to developing your own teaching and learning strategies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
