Carer for SEN Children, West London

Are you an experienced teaching assistant?

Do you have a background in SEMH and behaviour management?

New Special Needs Independent School has just opened!

£65 a day!

The Role:

  • Working 1:1 with a SEMH pupil (with emotional disturbed background)
  • Liaising with both the Teacher and the parent of the child (parents spend a lot of time in the classroom)
  • Setting up and tidying up the classroom

The School:

This small independent school is located in Wembley (5 minute walk from Wembley Central Station). All pupils are diagnosed with SEMH and are prone to behavioural problems. These pupils have been taken in instead of being placed in a PRU and there will be 15 pupils in total at the school by January 2019.

Other Information:

  • The staff eat breakfast and lunch with the pupils on daily basis and there is an onsite Chef who will prepare meals for both the staff and pupils

  • The Facilities include a Sensory room, First Aid Room, Adventure Room, Music Room and Playground

  • Bespoke training offered on a monthly basis

The Requirements:

  • Strong Behaviour management
  • 2 Excellent references from last school you worked at
  • Proven track record working with SEMH pupils
  • Training in restraint
