Care Assistant

You will be working at a residential setting in Shillingstone, North Dorset, for students aged 6 to 19 years with Autism and associated conditions. Drawing upon their proven expertise in specialist education and 24-hour care, this residential setting focus on the development of personal, social, communication and living skills. A multi-disciplinary team and high staff ratios ensure intensive individual support.

The job will be varied and interesting and you will find yourself involved in every aspect of the children and young people's lives – including practical, hands on activities, offering vital emotional, guidance and support and bringing your personal care, attention and structure to every child's unique life. Each day will bring its own set of challenges, obstacles and victories, as well as the personal rewards of working with each individual to help them achieve their personal best – whatever that may be.

We are looking for motivated care professionals who will strive to meet each young person’s individual needs at all times. It is essential you have experience working in a care setting or in a role supporting children, it would be beneficial for you to have an understanding of Autism.

The setting is not easily accessed by public transport so it is essential you have a UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
