CACHE Level 3 Diploma Teaching Assistant

Level 3 or Degree qualified Teaching Assistant Vacancy (minimum of 12 months experience required)

  • Large, 2-form entry 'Good' Primary School
  • Full-time post starting Nov 2016 - ending Jun 2017
  • Level 3 or Degree qualification and 12 month experience required

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to begin a post starting after the October half-term and to run until the end of June 2017. The Headteacher of this over subscribed popular little Primary School is looking for additional support across the Key Stages. Due to a recent member of staff leaving there is an opportunity for the ideal candidate to come in and hit the ground running.

The school is a smaller than average Church of England Primary School based in the heart of Haslingden just off the A56 with local transport links and on-site parking. Being a church school, it has links with the local church and believes that the Christian faith underpins all they do in school. Pupils known to be eligible for pupil premium funding is above average, as are the pupils from ethnic minority backgrounds and pupils with a statement of special educational needs. Last year, the school fell just below the national average in terms of performance in both Year 2 and Year 6 however was graded as a 'Good' School by Ofsted as of September 2013.

Experience at both Key Stages is required as it will be a split role between Years 2 and 5, however there will be times when you are required to cover in other classes. Experience working with either Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds Phonics schemes would be beneficial and you must be confident when supporting Numeracy, Literacy and Guided Reading.
