Full Time Teaching Assistant (TA) – Portsmouth
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities?
A welcoming and inclusive school in Portsmouth is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their supportive team.
This unique setting caters to both primary and secondary aged pupils, and the school will work with you to ensure the right class placement based on your skills and experience.
About the Role of Teaching Assistant:

Full time position Monday to Friday

Support children with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, communication needs, sensory needs and SEMH
-
Engage pupils in a rich and varied curriculum, with a strong focus on sensory learning, outdoor learning and life skills

Work closely with an inclusive staff team who pride themselves on the support and training they provide
Requirements of a Teaching Assistant:

Prior experience working with children who have additional needs is essential

A nurturing, patient and adaptable approach

Commitment to helping children thrive in both their academic and personal development
