  • Are you proficient in the teaching of both of these subjects, and feel that you have the necessary attributes to be able to successfully deliver lessons that will keep students engaged throughout?

An opportunity has arisen at a school in Middlesbrough for a motivated  Business Teacher, to join the teaching staff. The required individual will hold QTS, and be competent in the delivery of Business within a secondary school environment. A degree with direct relevance to either Business is exceptionally desirable.  It is important that as a member of the teaching staff, the applicant will be comfortable in working as part of a team, delivering high quality lessons. Being able to competently work with pupils on an individual basis, as well as within a group setting is important. The required applicant will understand the need for consistency in teaching methods, as well as being able to place their own independent stance with regards to specific lesson delivery. The role will commence after the Easter break, and will run through until the end of the academic year.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Engaging with pupils across a broad range of abilities, ages and backgrounds.
  • Delivering lessons in line with school curriculum, ensuring that pupils are engaged throughout as well as preparing students for examinations.
  • Effectively offering differentiation in teaching, to cater for pupils with SEN as well as those whose primary language may not necessarily be English.
  • Managing behaviour expectations in line with school policy, as well as working in line with recommendations made by Ofsted.
  • Pay - GBP24,373 and GBP40,490 annually, dependant on prior experience.
