Overview of the Role
I am currently working alongside the Headteacher of a Roman Catholic Primary School in Burnley. The school currently have TWO teacher vacancies in Reception and also EYFS. The Head has expressed they are looking for two teachers to cover two ladies who will be going on maternity leave at Easter 2018. The head mentioned they have an excellent early years unit where their TA is also a qualified teacher therefore this would be an excellent opportunity for an Early Years Practitioner. The Reception teacher will be needed for 12 months, April 2018 - April 2019. The EYFS teacher is needed from April 2018 - July 2018.
The Head his looking for a practitioner who is Early Years trained and has up to date knowledge of the curriculum. The school will consider Newly Qualified teachers who are able to provide excellent placement reports. The Head is not looking for a practising Catholic, however it is important the successful applicant understands the importance in maintaining the Catholic Ethos in school.
As with all supply work, there is always the possibility of there being a permanent position for you providing you get on well in school. The Head is part of a local cluster of Headteachers in Burnley BB10, BB11, BB12, BB9 & BB8.

Rates of pay for roles of this nature vary from £90-£120 per day dependant upon experience.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
