BSL Teaching Assistant

Specialist BSL Teaching Assistant required to support pupils with hearing impairments

• Experience communicating using BSL
• Available 5 days per week
• You will be motivated and enthusiastic about communicating using BSL

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a school in Swansea who are looking to appoint a communication specialist support worker to support pupils with hearing impairments. The post will be communicating mainly via BSL and needs a hardworking and naturally caring individual. 

This is a great opportunity to join a successful and welcoming school on a day to day basis with a view to enjoying a long-term opportunity. 

The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and will ideally have a qualification in BSL level 3 however, applicants with other experiences using sign language and or sign supported English will be considered.

You will be required to engage fully with secondary aged pupils who are deaf or have communication needs to allow them access the curriculum as widely as possible.
