 Are you a fully qualified Biology Teacher?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a Secondary school in Bury, aiding them in the recruitment of a Biology specialist. Due to a member of staff going on maternity leave, our client school are currently looking for a teacher to cover this absence.

  • Full time Biology teacher needed for an immediate start until the end of the academic year.
  • Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Secondary school in Bury.
  • Teaching across Key Stage Three and GCSE.
  • Working alongside other members of the Science department to promote positive behaviour management.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS GBP24,373 - GBP40,490 per annum.

Application Requirements

  • Must hold QTS alongside subject specific degree level qualification or equivalent within a relevant Science.
  • Both experienced and newly qualified Science teachers are welcome to apply as relevant support will be provided.           

Working as a Biology teacher in our client school will involve leading a full time table delivering inventive Science lessons whilst planning, preparing and evaluating all class work. The successful candidate will be expected to assess and evaluate student’s progress and report this back to Senior staff members in order to take appropriate action to ensure pupils meet their aims and objectives.

You will be expected to support with the development of Schemes of Work in line with the National Curriculum for Science alongside ensuring the lessons meet the needs of students at various levels of learning. The successful candidate will also be required to promote positive behaviour management and provide additional support for those who require this within the classroom.

Our client Secondary School is located in Bury and can be accessed via the M66 and A56 from surrounding areas such as Bolton and Salford. For non-drivers, there are several public transportation links from surrounding areas including Bolton, Salford and central Manchester.
