Are you a Teaching Assistant seeking work in the Preston area?

If so, Teaching Personnel work closely with a Behavioural Unit in the Preston area who are seeking support for pupils with SEMH difficulties, Autism, Mental Health Difficulties and pupils who display very challenging behaviour. More often than not pupils in School have been excluded from mainstream education or find mainstream education to overwhelming and the class sizes are generally under 8 pupils per class.

The role is to start as soon as possible and the candidate will ideally be able to start work within the week of interview. The role will be long term and full time. The School has 2 sites, one site provides support for pupils who are particularly difficult to manage in terms of their behaviour and the other site provides support for those who have mental health difficulties and Autism. You may be expected to work across both sites.

The candidate must have experience working with pupils who have difficult behaviours, pupils with Autism and the candidate must be willing to get fully immersed in School life. The candidate will benefit from:

* negotiable pay rates £51-58 per day

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
