Job description

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a larger than average, Roman Catholic Primary school in the Rusholme area of Manchester (M14). This diverse, 3 form entry primary school, are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work as a behaviour buddy supporting a number of children across the Early Years, KS1 and KS2 who need additional support to monitor their behaviour.

To be considered for this role, you will have the ability to deal effectively with challenging behaviour whilst working closely with a number of children with a variety of specific needs. To be considered for this post, you will have experience working with children with SEN/ behavioural issues and will have the ability to build strong working relationships with children of all ages.

This 'GOOD' primary school was praised at it's last OFSTED inspection for its 'inclusive' environment and the staffs ability to assist children with identified learning needs. The school are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner who has the skills and experience necessary to guide its children through until the end of the academic year!

This post is to start in Septeber and will run for the full academic year. Only candidates with experience supporting children with specific needs or challenging behaviours in an educational setting will be considered.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting children with identified needs
  • Be able to build strong working relationships with children and staff
  • Be looking to develop a career in education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
