Do you have experience of working with young people that display challenging behaviour? Are you looking for a new role starting in September 2019?

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a large Secondary School in the Salford area to recruit an experienced Behaviour Support Worker.

  • Part-time role available from September 2019
  • Supporting a student on a 1:1 basis who has ADHD alongside other behavioural difficulties
  • Earn up to £350 per week dependent on experience

Working as a Behaviour Support Worker, you will be:

  • Working alongside class teachers supporting students aged 11-16 in classes
  • Supporting a student with ADHD who can shown signs of disruptive, argumentative and self-focused behaviour
  • Expected to incorporate inventions to aid the student's behaviour with the hopes of raising their progress and attainment
  • Assisting a student on a 1:1 basis when they are withdrawn from various subject to attend intervention sessions that the prospective candidate should be able to plan and deliver

To be considered for this Behaviour Support role it is required that you have experience of working with individuals who have ADHD or similar behavioural difficulties as these skills will be highly transferrable. In particular, our client school would like candidates that are familiar with students that are known to show disruptive, emotional and withdrawn behaviour and therefore, require extra support with their studies. With over 600 pupils, the school is in need of extra staff to guarantee this student is supported and that teachers also have the help they require in the classroom.

As a Behaviour Support Worker within our client school, responsibilities will include working 1:1 with a student that requires additional support due to their ADHD and other difficulties. Further responsibilities incorporate supporting the class teacher and delivering intervention sessions to suit a particular student.

Our client is based in Salford and can be accessed via the M60 and A580 from surrounding areas for those who have their own transportation. For non-drivers, there are several forms of public transport with links to Swinton, Eccles and central Manchester.
