Behaviour Support - Rochdale - September 2019

  • Work as a Behaviour Support worker, assisting in the development of pupils who are struggling to reach the curriculum due to behaviour issues and SEMH needs.
  • Providing support on a 1:1 basis as well as in a group setting, developing strategies to reduce the chance of permanent exclusion from mainstream education.
  • Monitoring and tracking behaviour and progress of pupils, feeding back to teachers, SENCO as well as parents to help develop future plans
  • Developing innovative techniques to encourage greater participation within classrooms, helping to improve behaviour in and outside of class

Teaching Personnel are seeking Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants to work on a flexible basis within our client schools in Rochdale. You will be required to work on a 1:1 basis and in a group setting with pupils who are on the verve of being permanently excluded from mainstream education. There are full time and part time hours available, dependent on your availability and the needs of the school and pupils concerned.

We welcome applicants from anybody with previous experience in secondary schools working as a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, as well as anybody with any transferable skills and experience or if you have worked in a role supporting young people who show signs of anti social behaviour or any specific SEMH needs.

  • Full time and part time hours available
  • September start date working in different schools in the Rochdale area
