A full time position for a Behaviour Support Assistant commencing as soon as possible. The position is intially temporary and involves covering short term sickness as and when the school require. This particular role would suit a Behaviour Support Assistant who is seeking a flexible role is fit around their work and lifestyle.
The setting caters for young people aged 5 - 11 with social, emotional and mental health needs, all of whom have been excluded from their mainstream Primary School. Integration back into mainstream school is the desired outcome for the young people within this school however this is not always possible.
Challenging behaviour is a common occurrence at this school, therefore an up-to-date Team - Teach certificate is desirable. Team - Teach is a divert and de-escalation strategy which uses verbal de-escalation and, as a last resort, physical intervention. Ideally the Teaching Assistant will already have this training, however Teaching Personnel run 12 hour Team - Teach courses every half term so can assist in the training.
This school can also offer longer term and permanent positions if more suitable, so applicants who require longer term work are encouraged to apply.
