Behaviour Support Assistant – Stockton-on-Tees

Required for role starting immediately

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to work within a Primary School based on the outskirts of Stockton. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a Key Stage 2 classroom of 32 pupils working alongside the Class Teacher and one other Teaching Assistant. The role is to work on a 1-1 basis with an SEN pupil who can display complex behaviours and disruption in class. The school were rated ‘Good’ in their most recent Ofsted report and pride themselves in their engaging learning opportunities by providing a curriculum that provides a wide range of enrichment activities.

The role requires:

• Excellent communication, literacy, and numeracy skills
• Team Teach Qualification
• A resilient, patient and committed attitude
• Experience working with children who have mild to moderate learning difficulties
• Ability to travel to the school for an 8:30am start and 15:30pm finish

Essentials:

• Valid DBS (A Child Workforce certificate that is accessible through the Update Service)
• Eligible to work in the UK (right to work in the UK documentation)
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or higher

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
