Behaviour Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking for a behaviour support assistant to work within one of our SEN schools within the Plymouth area.

The role will be full time hours working Monday to Friday 8:30am – 3:30 pm term time only starting from April 2024 to the end of the academic year. This is a perfect opportunity to gain valuable experience within an education-based setting working with children who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

Pay:

between £80 - £90 dependent on experience

 

Key responsibilities:

Support with children’s classroom learning and activities and promote inclusion throughout the school

Establish positive relationships with pupils working with them on an individual or classroom needs basis

Supporting pupils in both an academic and social capacity

Ensuring the needs of pupils EHCP’s are met

Desirable skills -

  • Confidence dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Previous experience working with children
  • Positive & motivating attitude
  • A good level of Maths and English
  • Full UK Driving Licence

To work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £38 plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
