We are seeking a caring and motivated Specialist Behaviour Support Assistant to work within specialist educational settings supporting pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, challenging behaviour, autism, ADHD, and additional learning needs.
This rewarding role is ideal for individuals with experience in education, youth work, care, coaching, mentoring, or support work who are looking to make a genuine impact every day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with young people.
  • Support pupils to develop emotional regulation and social skills.
  • Promote positive behaviour strategies throughout the school day.
  • Assist pupils in accessing learning both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to meet individual needs.
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND, autism, ADHD, or behavioural needs.
  • A calm, resilient, and positive approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to remain professional in challenging situations.
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
  • Team Teach training is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
