We are looking for a Behaviour Support Worker to work in a mainstream Primary School based in taunton. This school recently received a Good from OFSTED and is actively looking for individuals, particularly those working in Behaviour support, to propel them to the next level of ‘Outstanding’. The ideal Behaviour Support Worker would be someone who:

  • Has experience in a primary school environment
  • Experience working with social, emotional and mental health
  • Can keep calm under pressure
  • Has a warm and friendly personality.

 

Your role as a Behaviour Support Worker at the school would be to work on a 1:1 basis or with small groups in order to assist with their learning, deescalate situations or provide a nurturing role to the pupils. You will be instrumental in helping the pupils gain the necessary skills to progress both academically and socially, meaning better futures for them. There are a few pupils with behavioural needs across the school so you would be working in different year groups and small groups. 

To be successful in your application, you must be able to provide evidence of this as skills and experience.

Please be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a current DBS certificate (update service registered). Teaching Personnel can support your application should this be required.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm approximately.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
