Behaviour Support – Manchester

We are looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join the school at the earliest convenience. This is a full time position which involves working on a 1:1 and small group basis with a number of pupils identified as being at risk of permanently excluded from mainstream education

-          Full time Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant position

-          Paid up to GBP70 a day (dependent on experience) on a weekly basis

-          Working in a large modern secondary school graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted

-           Chance to gain further skills and qualifications through our CPD courses

We are working closely with a large modern secondary school in Manchester to recruit a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to assist within the school after a number of pupils were identified as being at risk of being permanently excluded from mainstream education and require additional support. This is a varied role and would involve supporting the pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as in small groups, using strong behaviour management techniques and encouraging them to engage further in lessons whilst adhering to the schools behaviour policy.

The school has a strong reputation within the community, and behaviour is on a whole very good with a strong senior management team and supportive environment within the school for both students and pupils. There are state of the art facilities throughout the school and excellent provisions installed for both teaching and learning.

“We are seeking a strong Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join us to help support some of our pupils within the school. We have identified a number of pupils who may require some additional assistance to help reduce the risk of them being excluded and as such we would like applications from anybody with previous experience as a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, or anybody with similar transferable work experience” – SENCO
