Job Description: As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential support to students with SEN within our school settings. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting students with learning tasks, ensuring they have full access to the curriculum and educational resources.
- Providing one-on-one support to students with specific learning needs, helping them overcome challenges and achieve academic progress.
- Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and create a personalized learning experience for each student.
- Supporting students in developing social and emotional skills, fostering positive relationships within the school community.
- Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
- Encouraging and promoting independence and self-confidence among students with SEN.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEN is advantageous but not essential.
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to supporting young learners with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and parents effectively.
- The ability to adapt and be flexible in responding to the individual needs of students.
- A passion for fostering the academic and personal development of students with SEN.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
