Behaviour Support Assistant - Huddersfield

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and experienced personnel to support young people in our network of primary schools across Huddersfield to support children on a 1:1 basis or within a classroom setting. The opportunities we have understandably will be aimed at supporting the young people you work with their education journey to ensure that they achieve their maximum potential. There is also a high element of supporting children who do display highly challenging behaviours and have challenging backgrounds, therefore your role will also involve deescalating and managing difficult behavioural situations and be resilient towards this.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
* Previous or transferable experience with young people in PRU based settings
* Calm and approachable manor
* Able to deescalate and defuse high tension situations
* Team Teach Trained (we are able to provide this to those without)
