Behaviour Support Assistant - Bedale SEN school

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Behaviour Support Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with students in an SEND School in Bedale, which has been rated 'Outstanding' by OFSTED. The role will commence after the February half term on a full time basis.

The role will involve supporting students within the classroom on a 1:1 basis with students aged between 11 and 16. Each student in the school has an education health and care plan and the school caters for a variety of special educational needs, including social emotional and mental health as well as profound and multiple learning difficulties. There is also a focus on sports within the school and they have regular visits from sports professionals to inspire the students, which you will have the opportunity to get involved with!

Ideally, the candidate will have experience working with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. You will be passionate about improving the lives of young people with SEN and have a kind and nurturing personality. We accept candidates from a variety of backgrounds, whether it is from education, youth work or even military.
